How to remove the skin of the Hazelnuts
- While the skins of the hazelnuts are packed with healthy nutritional value, they are hardly aesthetically pleasing to homemade hazelnut butter.
- They have to withdraw. To remove the skin, use a clean kitchen towel and rub/wrinkle it between your hands.
- The skins will fall off the roasted nuts quite easily. The friction of the nuts rubbing together will cause the skins to loosen.
How to Make Homemade White Nutella Spread
- To begin with, the hazelnuts must be raw and skinless, completely clean, to achieve a clear cream. Then, place them on a baking tray and bake at 180ยบC (fan) for 10 minutes.
- Now yes, the hazelnuts are ready to blend. Place them in a food processor or high–speed blender and blend until smooth.
- It is best to do it in intervals, so the nuts and the blender machine don‘t overheat.
- The longer they mix, the thinner the consistency of your homemade hazelnut butter will be.
- I like to mix them for about 15 minutes, with breaks every 2–3 minutes.
- Once the hazelnut butter is ready, transfer it to a glass container. It can be kept at room temperature for about a month.

Ingredients
- 400 gr Unsalted, skinless, and raw hazelnuts
- 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp Xylitol, Stevia, or conventional white granulated sugar
- 1/8 Tsp Sea salt Optional
Instructions
- Put the skinless hazelnuts in the oven at 350F or 180C for 10 minutes.
- In a high–powered blender, start blending on the cream setting until creamy. If the hazelnut mixture is too thick, start by melting one tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Add the second tablespoon if necessary. Then sea salt.
- Add the xylitol little by little and blend until smooth.
- Rectify the flavor before removing it from the blender.
- The mixture should be thick but not very dense. Remember that it is a hazelnut cream, the spread should not be hard, otherwise, you will not be able to spread it on food.
- Put in a jar and keep in a cool place.
