Description
The red velvet cake is my daughter Vicky's favorite cake. For that reason, I have created the best recipe for red velvet pancakes, and because of its intense red color, it fits very well on Valentine's Day, as a special breakfast at Christmas
A pancake is synonymous with a spongy cake made in a pan in record time. So, I envisioned a tower of fluffy red chocolate cakes dipped in a decadent cream cheese syrup topping that could slide around those round romantic red cakes. Worthy of a good breakfast for those I love the most.

Instructions
Instruction for Red Velvet Pancakes
- Whisk the dry ingredients together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
- Then, whisk together the milk, egg yolks, butter melted, and red food coloring.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until there are no dry spots. The batter will be granulated. Keep calm, that’s ok!
- Place the egg whites in a dry glass bowl and beat with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. With a spatula, and with enveloping movements, incorporate the egg whites into the mix until everything is integrated. Don't overmix. Just fold in until no white streaks remain.
- Heat a griddle or nonstick pan over medium heat. Use your 1/3 cup as the measure for each pancake, and cook until the pancake is bubbling and the edges start to dry out. Flip and cook the second side. Continue until all of the batters have been used.
